Coronavirus

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has of today March 9th 2020 109,578 confirmed cases Globally and UK lock-down whilst a severe step, looks imminent and possibly necessary in order for the UK to get swift control over the outbreak.

This is a major outbreak and will not be the last. In a press conference held today Professor Chris Whitty (Chief Medical Adviser to the Government), has today spoken of the likelihood of a decision to restrict movement for 7 days for people with fever or mild respiratory tract infection. He went on to say “This advice is likely to have huge repercussions for workplaces across the country.

In preparation for the likelihood of a lock down how will it affect your business?

    • How prepared are you for workers to be restricted to home working?
    • Have you got secure, remote access in place?
    • Will the infrastructure and licensing scale to the potential of users needing to use it?
    • Do they all have sufficient bandwidth?

Planning for business continuity in the event of a disaster of some form is often a background consideration until it happens, then it becomes a priority.

It’s not too late to prepare for this one, and certainly not too  late to properly plan for the next situation.
